Lawrence Jones

Larry has been a UU for 30 years, four of them at UUFSD. He has served on the board of UUFSD, and long ago at the Medford (MA) UU Church, as well as serving on the Sunday Services Committee. He is an engineer, and has been active in wireless technology for a really long time. He tries to help a group move toward its goals, and to see the larger picture. In the Search Committee, Larry has taken the lead in preparing the informational packet that prospective ministers will receive.

Christopher Kinzie

A little over three years ago, Chris joined UUism and our congregation after having explored many religious beliefs and philosophical teachings. He believes our potential for growth is limitless, and wants to be a part of it. He brings to the task at hand his professional skills which include recruiting, interviewing and hiring personnel. He feels his greatest strength is the ability to listen and to understand what motivates people. He represents not where the Fellowship has been but where it is heading. Chris recently added Father to his resume. He serves many functions on the Search Committee, including being the official reference checker.

Diane Masser-Frye

Diane discovered UUism 13 years ago at the time she joined our congregation. Since then she has been active in our religious exploration program and has often been our lay leader on Sunday mornings. Her background in social work and counseling gives her strong communication skills. She wants to contribute her time and energy into finding a minister who will help this Fellowship grow in commitment, financially, in standing as part of the community, in social action, spirituality, as well as in numbers. Diane is serving as Chair of the Ministerial Search Committee.

Dan Ness

During Dan's five years as a UU, all of it with this congregation, he has participated fully in our work. He has been a member of the Homes for Hope project, the Social Justice Ministry, our annual pledge drives and Planned Giving. He believes he can make a positive difference for us working on the Search Committee, especially in the area of his career work in conducting objective surveys to seek and report truth. He has good communication skills and broad interests and is focused on the long-term mission of the Fellowship. Dan was the principle designer of the congregational survey and provided analysis of the results.

Pamela Puckette

Pamela is a lifetime UU, eleven years of it in our congregation. She has participated in a wide variety of volunteer tasks here, including being on the search committees which found our present Music Director and our next-to-last RE Director. Her work has centered primarily on our youth programs which took her to reflections on UU faith and its impact on UU youth. These reflections brought her to the Spirituality Group of which she is a facilitator. She believes her participation in the Search Committee is part of her blossoming spiritual path and hopes to, post-search, refocus her work on our youth programs. She is serving on the Negotiating Team for the new minister and provides invaluable organization coordinating room scheduling and calendaring for the Search Committee.

Robin Sales

Robin has been a UU for 16 years, four of them at UUFSD. She was an active volunteer at the downtown church for many years; since joining us she has worked primarily on social justice issues but also on the Sunday Services Committee, Green Sanctuary, and RE teacher, including OWL. She wants to be part of the future of this congregation and believes joining the search for a new minister is the best way she can contribute at this time. She is a listener and a problem-solver and can see the larger picture. Robin works diligently as an arranger for the Search Committee.

Kathryn Sturch

Kathryn has been a UU for 18 years, more than nine of them at UUFSD where she is best known to all of us as long-time chair of the Finance Committee. She has participated in the Thursday evening meditation group for nine years and finds a spiritual home in Buddhism. She is devoted to the Fellowship and wants to help us find the best minister possible. Kathryn acts as both Secretary and Treasurer for the Ministerial Search Committee.
