The UUFSD Choir invites you to visit rehearsal and consider becoming a member. The choir sings many styles of music - primarily classical and wide-ranging folk music, including music from varying religious traditions, as well as some pop and jazz. Pieces are selected to enhance the worship experience. Our choral group is warm and friendly, and enjoys the hard work of preparing this varied literature. We have 30 members and a wide range of musicianship skills. Some members are experienced choral singers. Others are new to choir. Repertoire is selected so as to challenge veteran singers and offer easily accessible music at times so that all singers may have a satisfying musical experience. Together with choral singers worldwide, we often find the deep satisfaction and emotional release which comes from producing beautiful music together. Our rehearsals are held Thursdays mid-August through mid-June from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Founders' Hall. We usually sing two Sundays each month, September through June, as well as two all-music Sundays during the year.
