Choir Director
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito is a caring, open-minded religious community that encourages each of us to seek his or her own spiritual path. We gather each Sunday for services to nurture our spirits and we put our faith into action by helping to make our communities—and the world—a better place.
We are currently seeking a Choir Director to conduct our 25 member choir. This quarter-time salaried position starts the third Thursday in August and goes through second Sunday in June. The choir sings approximately twice a month for ten months at the Sunday service, with a one-hour call time and a 10:00 service time. Regular rehearsals are each Thursday evening for two hours with additional rehearsals as needed for special performances. Two of the year's services are "Music Sunday" services, where the choir presents the majority of the service. The Choir Director meets regularly with the Minister about music for Sunday services, attends Music Committee meetings, and plans and prepares for the above duties.
