May 4: The Pursuit of Self-Care
The foundation
of any spiritual growth program is taking good care
of ourselves: from our bodies to our souls to our
hearts and more. Indeed, the greatest gift we have
to give to the world is our own holistic self-care. Our
choir will be on deck. Rev. Tom Owen-Towle
May 11: YRUU Sunday — Activism at its best!
See what Social Justice topic is near and dear to
our High School students!
This Generosity Sunday's recipient will be Invisible
Children, a non-profit organization that aids war
torn Uganda Children.
May 18: God Fearing Humanism
As Unitarian
Universalists, we dwell in the creases between
creative skepticism and heartfelt belief. We are
theological hybrids. One of the crucial bridges to
grow as a spiritual pilgrim is between earth and
heaven, humanity and divinity. I'll give it my best
try. The Pacific Woman's Chorus will be our
musical gift. Rev. Tom Owen-Towle
May 25: Memorial Day Service: Calling All
Patriots
I will share some of the telling origins of
the Memorial Day observance, then relate its power
and pertinence for America today. We will be
blessed by the musical contributions of Chris Klich
(son of pioneer member, Helen Klich) and his lifepartner,
Laura Preble, and their well-known trio.

June 1: Tune and Rhyme in Three Quarter Time
That's the theme for this our final Music Sunday with our
accomplished choir director, Sally Husch Dean.
The UUFSD Choir, gifted pianists Lynne Talley
and Monique Kunewalder, and special guest,
harpist Aislinn Burnett will present this program.
