The Landscape Group consists of a Group Leader and a few Group Members. The Group Leader serves a 1-year term as a member of Steering Committee and is the liason to the Landscape Group. The Landscape Group recruits volunteers for specific tasks.
The Group is responsible for planting, weeding and watering throughout the UUFSD site.

Recruits sign up for work parties, maintenance activities or specific projects.
- Attend Group meetings - aproximately 6 times per year, 1~2 hours per meeting
- Hand–water selected areas weekly
- Organize work parties for grounds – arrange for dumpster, supply of bags and tools, have someone present who can identify weeds and CA Natives, select areas to work
- Participate in Weeding and Pruning Parties – approximately four times per year approximately 3 hours on a Saturday morning
- Participate in Planting Parties – occasional throughout year - approximately 3 hours on a Saturday morning
- Adopt a section of grounds or parking lot – keep weed free or cut back brush 1 hour per month
- Help create plant designs for specific areas
- Help maintain irrigation systems – monthly checking of timers, coverage, check for leaks
- Teach work party members about plants to keep and plants to pull.
