Scope

Buildings & Grounds hosts a work party the 1st Saturday each month. Activities and current sign-ups.

Schedule
2007-10-06 Activity
8:30 AM Leaders arrive - get tools, prepare tasks.
9:00 AM Recruits arrive, get briefed, get started!
11:45 AM Clean up, put tools away.
Noon Have lunch. Chit-chat.
12:30 PM Wash dishes. Leaders review, Lock-up.
Lunch

We always enjoy a delicious, nutritious lunch prepared in the Fellowship kitchen and served on real dinnerware. Chef plans the menu, shops and cooks (2~3 hrs). Dishwasher cleans dishes and flatware (1 hr).

Prepare for Planting Fleming Memorial
Remove plants where Fleming Memorial will be, just West of Founders' Hall. Clear area west of the Hall and east of pine tree between path and lower parking lot. Clear terrace south of the Hall.
REQ: 2 folks for 1 hr; Loppers, tarp, shovel, pick, weeding fork;

Recover from Fire
Soot and ash descended on the site during the news-making wild-fires. The custodians got most of it. Cleanup remaining: amphitheater kiosk, benches, handrails.
REQ: 2 people for 1 hr, broom, vacuum, mop.

Build up asphalt @ erupting sewer grate
The asphalt walkway is sinking around a concrete storm drain at the west end of the lower parking lot. See Jeff's item dated 2007-10-28 in UUBG-042 Tasks: TODO List.


Future Plans

On-Site Saturday events are scheduled the first Saturday of each month, unless there is a conflict with a special event, such as a wedding.
