Scope

This is the master list of all UUBG projects by document number. This index is updated when new projects are created in UUBG-066 Projects: TODO List and when they are moved to UUBG-067 Projects: DONE List.

Summary

Project document numbers are assigned incrementally from the Summary"Last number assigned: UUBG-NNN" at the top of the Index.

Overview

Buildings & Grounds defines projects to identify, plan and coordinate efforts which involve multiple tasks. A project is assigned the next UUBG-NNN document number when its Project Summary is created here and its Project Plan is created in UUBG-066 Projects: TODO List. The number is assigned even though the document may not yet exist. This number is also referred to as the ProjectID number: PID-PPP.

The difference between projects and tasks is one of scale based on these criteria:

Takes more than 2 people
Lasts more than 2 weeks
Costs more than $200

When an activity meets any of these criteria, it might be a project rather than a task. If it meets all of them, then it's definitely a project. Many projects begin as tasks which grow in scope upon investigation. Some projects become recurrent maintenance procedures.

The information required to fill out a Project Plan is minimal so the committee can be responsive. See UUBG-068 Projects: User's Guide / Project Edit Cycle for details.

Project Summary Tables

These are summaries of all projects of the Buildings & Grounds Committee. They are listed in two tables: TODO and DONE corresponding to the two documents:

Insert each newly created Project Summary at the beginning of the TODO table with a link to the new Project Plan in UUBG-066 Projects: TODO List. When a project's STATUS changes, update the status field here.

When a project is complete, move the Project Plan to UUBG-067 Projects: DONE List, update the ProjectID field hyperlink and move the Project Summary to the DONE table.
