BEZALEL SMOTRICH, Israel's Finance Minister and a prominent far-right politician, is the most vocal proponent of these plans. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the next Israeli government would seek to “encourage the emigration of Palestinians from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip,” describing it as “a long-term solution to the conflict,” the Anadolu news agency reported on Wednesday.

He added that the government aims to “cancel the Oslo Accords” and advance what he called “Israeli sovereignty” over the occupied West Bank. Smotrich presented the program during a conference of his far-right Religious Zionism party and at a gathering of illegal Israeli Jewish settlers, framing the coming political phase as an opportunity to reshape reality on the ground. “The next government would be required to dismantle the idea of a Palestinian state and change the current political and security reality in the West Bank,” he said, as quoted by Anadolu.
