Here’s a solution for climate anxiety: tune in to National Public Radio’s “Climate Solutions Week” May 18 - 26. This recurring editorial series focuses on practical responses to climate change. Reporters around the U.S. examine how communities, governments, scientists and individuals are adapting to a warming world.

For example, this week you can listen to:

*how a coalition of communities and towns in conservative Utah came together to bring renewable energy to the grid in a very unique way

*how Montana tribes combine their traditional knowledge and western science to enact a climate plan focused on long term resilience

The theme this week is “Local Lessons” and it highlights projects that can be replicated elsewhere. The solutions include energy projects, tax incentives, recycling innovations, and nature-based approaches to lowering carbon emissions. All of the Climate Solutions Week stories are archived here.

You can learn about hyper local climate solutions when you join the UUFSD Climate Committee on Wednesday, June 3, 7 pm via Zoom.
