What Do We Want From Our Next Governor? Bold Climate Leadership!
Primary voting day just passed. There are many criteria upon which to have evaluated the candidates, but a recent poll shows that Californians overwhelmingly want bold climate leadership. According to the EnviroVoters Education Fund and David Binder Research, “The majority of voters believe that California’s next governor must deliver affordable clean energy, reliable water, fair insurance, polluter accountability, and protection of public lands in the face of federal rollbacks.”
The best way to figure out which candidates will deliver on those priorities is to pay attention to endorsements from environmental groups and to listen to the candidates debate environmental issues. Here are a few resources:
