​Notices re: Brush Clearing + Construction

Brush Management Services - For the entire week of July 27 a professional tree service will be on site to perform targeted brush clearing measures in specific areas of the campus, to reduce fire load and meet the fire marshal’s requirements. This initial effort will focus on areas around the 4 classrooms. Pope Tree Service will require the use of the entire upper parking lot for equipment staging during that time. Please use alternate parking during that week and be mindful of construction type activities in the area. Prescribed brush clearing strategies have to meet the requirements as set forth by the fire marshal. This may involve significant thinning and removal of landscape materials. Building and Grounds will be coordinating with the contractor to balance removal, retention or thinning of native species or other preferred planting that otherwise may be sacrificed using generic pruning and thinning approaches. Thank you for your cooperation, attention to safety, and understanding as this important work is being performed.​

Other Construction Activities - ​On Monday August 3rd​ through Tuesday August 4th there will be construction activities on campus to re-contour and pave the walkway from the upper parking lot to the Administration Building. The upper parking lot will be unavailable during that period, please use alternate parking and be attentive to equipment in that area.
